How to flash the stock ROM for ZP980+

This is a short guide how to flash last stock ROM version 4.4.2 on Zopo ZP980+.
Also this is last option if any of other way to restore IMEI not work.

The archive contains mediatek SP Flash tool, stock firmware and how to file. Please remember that there is already changed the recovery from stock to TWRP so you no need to flash custom recovery later.

1)Install Drivers. You can find it here: http://androidxda.com/download-universal-adb-driver (skip it if driver is already instaled)

2)Open Flash_tool.exe

3)Click Scatter-loading

4)Select MT6592_Android_scatter.txt (for ZP980+) found it in extracted firmware (ZP980+_20141018-172927 folder)

5)Check settings as is in the attached picture how_to_settings.jpg then Click Download button or press F9

6)Shutdown your ZP980+ and connect it with Micro USB to PC running the Flash Tool

7)See it flashing before your eyes and wait for a green circle to show up on your PC to indicate successful flashing.

8)Restart phone and Done!

NOTE:
Please always make a backup of your data on the phone. During the flashing process all data on the internal memory of the phone will be erased.

Another method how to fix your lost IMEI.

You will need to backup of your nvram from your phone. How to do it check my first blog post - Method 1.




  1. download this file: http://d-h.st/LPDX and unzip it on your computer,
  2.  run the SP Flash tool, and than press the ctrl+alt+v keys on keyboard to get advanced mode
  3. select scatter.txt from imei folder
  4. click on "Window" and then on "Write memory
  5. copy your backed up of IMEI file nvram.bin, previously created with MtkDroidTools and rename it to nvram.emmc.bin - don't change the file extension *.bin
  6. then

How to backup / restore IMEI on your MTK phone

There exist many problems with losing of IMEI in phones on the platform of MTK. I collect some information on how to solve this problem and to publish them here on my blog.
I will pay attention to ZP980+  phone, but this procedure can be applied also to other phones with MTK chipsets.

So first of all it is backup your IMEI from your phone. Of course your phone have to be fully working.

NOTE: do ALL this stuff at your own risk. Before doing this, you should probably backup your phone.

Method 1:
      With MtkDroidTools.

  1. download and instal MtkDroidTools on your computer.
  2. run it and then connect your phone
  3.  click on ROOT button in program window
  4. then
  5. the backup will be created on "BackupNVRAM" subfolder in "MtkDroidTools" folder.
  6. you can also restore your backed up IMEI, clicking on Restore button.
